The Research Society is Manipal’s official student research body that works on an array of research projects, covering a broad span of fields, from artificial intelligence and robotics to nanotechnology and immunology.
Work focused on:

  • ○ Mentored juniors starting out in Research.

Honors and Awards

When I'm not working on my research, I enjoy participating in other competitive events and educating myself on topics in science, engineering, and technology. These events have helped me grow not only in the field of science and engineering, but also from an commercial point of view.

  • First Prize - Code Innovation Series - associated with GitHub

    Innovation Series Hackathon was the hackathon organized by by Manipal Institute of Technology. Employed Document-Embedding for measuring contextual similarity between multiple pages and given search-queries.

  • First Prize - HackRx by Bajaj Finserv

    HackRx is the Annual Hackathon hosted by Bajaj Finserv. Used Deep Learning and Classical Image processing to achieve a face verification and profile-rank estimation task. The methodology out-performed classic Deep Learning methods. Created an API for the same.

  • Rank 68 of 846 Univ.ai Hackathon 1 GHF Fellowship

    Came in top 10% of the Geoffrey Hinton Fellowship (GHF) for Artificial Intelligence is a preeminent platform for emerging talent in AI to demonstrate their talents and win cash awards and gain access to world-class internship, employment, and research opportunities.

  • Runners-Up - IEEE BigMM Data Challenge - IEEE Grand-Challenge

    Came runners-up in IEEE Grand-Challenge for harassment detection on tweets. Utilized Elementary Classifiers for Sentiment Analysis. The team was invited to present a paper in IEEE Sixth International Conference on Multimedia Big Data (BigMM).
